Nest Update
The kids asked to check the nest today . . . they were delighted to find that the mama bird laid two more eggs! She now has three of her own eggs in there and one sneaky big egg in there as well. Here are the pics. And to give you an idea of size . . . the small eggs are about the size of a finger nail and the big egg is about the size of a large grape.
Oh so wonderful to see the birdie eggs...It will be fun to keep track of that little family and solve the mystery of who's the interloper!...Mama
What fun! The big egg could be from a Cuckoo. They're lazy moms and leave their eggs in other nests...but sometimes the hatched cuckoo will push out the other birds so it can be a problem.
