Cole was all ready for his first day of school today.  I took first day of school pictures and everything.  We went to his school . . . and waited . . . and waited . . . Cole played, not noticing that something was wrong (as he doesn't know what to expect).  I was wondering "where are all the other kids?" and "where is the teacher" . . . "why is the building locked??  Aren't they preparing for the first day??!"  Finally, after waiting for 25 minutes, (we had arrived 15 minutes early) we left and drove over to the city hall (his preschool is put on by the city).  Oh, they said, you didn't know that it was postponed a week??  No, I didn't.  They said they left a message at my house on Friday, but I received no message.  Annoying.  Cole was very disappointed (me too!).  I have been pumping him up for the first day so that there would be no hesitation . . . and then it didn't happen.  Oh, well.  It will be exciting next week I guess!
