El Dorado Casserole

I have been asked for this recipe . . . so here it is!  This one is from Josh's family.  It is very yummy . . . great with a salad.

El Dorado Casserole

 

Ingredients

1 lb                  ground beef

1 Tbsp             instant onion

½ Tbsp            garlic salt

1  15oz can      tomato sauce

1  4oz can        sliced olives

1 pt                  sour cream

1 pt                  cottage cheese

1  4oz can        diced Ortega chilies

10 oz                tortilla chips (1/3 to half a bag??)

2 cups              grated Monterey Jack cheese

 

Directions

Sauté beef – drain – add onion, garlic, olives and tomato sauce – simmer.

Combine sour cream, cottage cheese and chilies.

Crush chips.

Layer in 4 quart baking dish: chips, creamy mix, cheese – repeat.

Bake uncovered @ 350º for 30-35 minutes.
