First Day of Swim Lessons

Maisie and Cole had their first swim lesson yesterday evening.  They both had a blast, but especially Cole who was not sure what to expect.  Here are some pictures I took before I was informed that parents are not supposed to be in the pool area during the swim lesson . . .

This is the first picture I took.  It is of Cole right after getting in.  He was the only kid in his class that wasn't crying, so the instructor took him for a little "swim" first.  He is obviously having a good time.  It was so funny.  When she brought him back over to the side of the pool he climbed out -- he thought that was it!  When I told him there was more to his lesson and that he got to stay in the pool he was so excited.  Pretty cute.

Here is Maisie after she just hopped in.

Maisie working on her back float.

Cole playing on the side of the pool while the instructor is with other kids.  They had the three year olds stand on  a little metal platform in the pool for safety.  Cole kept sneaking off it to hang on the side of the pool with the four years olds . . .

More play on the platform.

More time on the platform . . . he loves the water . . . not much instruction happenning though in the lesson.  Oh well, he is having a good time.

Maisie waiting on the side of the pool for direction from her instructor.

She is a happy girl!
